Depends: How soon after cataract surgery and was it routine? Still using postoperative eye drops? Any underlying diseases that could cause dry eye? Dry eye could have been present before and is now more noticeable after surgery (small incisions on the cornea). Try lubricating the eyes with artificial tears and ask your cataract surgeon.

Surgery: If you had clear lens extraction for extreme high myopia, usually the cornea is not disrupted too much. But to look for dry eye cause, it's best to see if it's a tear production problem or tear evaporation issue or tear film instability.

Dry eye after : Dry eyes after surgery is related to irritation from the surgery itself, temporary nerve damage related to the incision, dry eye present prior to surgery, and the medications used after the surgery.
