Periods: Normally periods can vary between 21-35 days. Woman like you can have very regular periods but occasionally the cycle length will very between these days. Stress, changes in weights and other medications can sometimes be responsible. Usually normal variation.

Hard to know: Its hard to answer the question without more information. Did you start any new meds? Are you on any birth control pills? Have you had your annual checkup? Have you had any abnormal pap smears? Those answers will help.

It may be normal.: If this was the first time this has happened, i wouldn't worry about it. If it continues you should have a hormone level done to check for a luteal phase defect. This is when the ovary is not producing adequate progesterone.
