Head injury?: Concussion is after a head injury and can be associated with post concussion syndrome, at times is associated with insomnia, confusion and irritability. Where as insomnia can be due to many causes.

Very different: If you didn't get hit in the head or have a injury you probably won't have a concussion usually insomnia is a problem falling asleep which is one what opposite to what a concussion may do.
