Infection: It sounds like you have a definate infection. To diagnose a virus vs a bacterail infection (possible sinus, tonsilar, or throat infection), you need to see your doctor for the proper diagnosis and treatment. Good luck.

Go to doctor: Go to your doctor, although it might be just URI ( viral upper respiratory infection) that requires only symptomatic treatment, there is also a possibility of strep throat, that if left untreated might cause serious complications. Much easier to get a quick strep test then end up with heart and kidney problems.
