Nervous system: The sympathetic nervous system innervates many of the sweat glands in the body. When you get nervous, injured, or frightened the glands produce sweat as they are commanded to. Usually noted more on palms, soles, face and underarms. Everyone is built a little differently and there seems to be a good deal of variation between people in the amount of sweat produced.
