Tinnitus.: Didn't see your age or whether this is one sided, but....It needs explanation. Most tinnitus is bilateral and associated with significant noise exposure and age. Some medications can cause this but again both sides. See your doc and have an audiogram.

Hearing loss: Many people have damage to their hearing mechanism either from trauma or infection. When the tiny sensory hairs in the cochlea are damaged, they will act as if they are hearing even when it is silent. Because the ringing is constant, that implies a long-term hearing problem. This can be evaluated by an audiologist who may recommend hearing aids if you are having difficulty hearing conversations.
