It can be risky: The fda has classified Ativan (lorazepam) as pregnancy category d, meaning that it's been associated with miscarriages and birth defects; it's not recommended during pregnancy. If you take Ativan (lorazepam) while trying to conceive, your fetus would be exposed before a positive test. There are safer treatments for your anxiety. Talk with your doctor about referral to a psychiatrist and/or therapist to work on this.

Taper: Why u take Ativan 3 mg for anxiety need to taper slowly 10 percent weekly also taking frolic acid 1 mg daily never stop Ativan suddenly always taper slowly you should taper before getting pregnant i'd you take for anxiety you have option to start Buspar (buspirone) if for depression than ssri .
