Ibuprofen but: It depends on the cause of the hydrocele. If it is acute, then surgery may be indicated. Chronic hydroceles in adults form because of inflammation of the lining of the hydrocele sac. Therefore anti-inflammatory medication such as Ibuprofen may be helpful.
