When is an hpt 100% accurate?

Can be after 6-12 d,: This can vary but the hpt tests can be accurate at 6-12 days after fertilization which is around the time when implantation occurs. There is the possibility of false negatives if done earlier. The rosette inhibition assay for early pregnancy factor (epf) can be done 48 hours after fertilization, but is costly and llong. U/s also done. See your doctor for more.

When it's positive: Modern upt's are very accurate. They may miss one because it's too early but when it's positive you are pregnant. It doesn't mean the pregnancy will work or is normal necessarily. Good luck.
