What would cause a belly button to bleed just out of the blue. not gushing blood just little bleeding to where its just like sitting in there?

Local items: Local infections, irritation might. But the bigger concern would be - is your abdomen swollen? Do you have liver / kidney / cardiac disease etc. ? Could this be a sr. Mary joseph nodule (reflects internal malignancy)? So - unless you know it is from local irritation, i'd get checked out...
