Acid reflux: A citrus taste would indicate the presence of acid mixing with your saliva. This might be a result of acid reflux possibly caused by medication. Temporarily discontinue any otc medications & your mouth should return to normal.

OTC MEDS. EFFECT: That taste could be a side effect of some over the counter medications that should go away after terminating the medication.
