Not to worry: Unless she is having significant blood loss (more than a normal period) i would give it 3-4 months for her hormones to stabilize and return to a normal non-pregnant levels and resume normal periods again. If periods continue to come twice a month after 3 months (as long as blood loss is not severe) then you should seek evaluation by your local gynecologist.

1st period : The first periods after a miscarriage is often a little off. Sometimes it is early and sometimes late. Sometimes heavier and sometimes lighter. I ask my patients to be patient and give your body a couple of cycles to get back to normal. If you are not warning to be pregnant at this time birth control can be used to provide cycle regulation

Consider ultrasound: I usually like to perform a pelvic ultrasound on my patients after a miscarriage, to ensure that all of the pregnancy tissue completely passed. I would track the bleeding again this next cycle and see if her bleeding is too much or too frequent, then make an appointment with her doctor for evaluation.
