Pregnancy possible: The possibility exists. If you are late and still haven't had your menses, you should perform a home pregnancy test. If it is negative, repeat in one week.

Pregnancy unlikely: If your home pregnancy test is negative, it's unlikely you are pregnant, especially if you are already spotting. But if you do not get your normal period soon, check another pregnancy test. Home pregnancy tests are quite accurate.
