A member asked:

My husband of 7yrs has one wart on his scrotum for a long time and i don't see any other warts appearing, can this be transmitted to me and is it std?

Not STD: Warts can be transmitted as they are viral in origin. A wart present for 7 years is not likely to be any other problem. You apparently are bothered by this (is your husband?). These can be easily removed by your family doctor or a urologist and it sounds like you should help him see somebody.

Quite likely: What you describe may well be a condyloma. If so, yes it is contagious through genital contact. Have him get checked by a urologist
