Sperm antibody: The immune system reacts to proteins or substances that are perceived as "foreign" or not of self. This happens with germs or viruses, and can occur when someone receives a transplant. If antibodies are made to antigens that should be perceived as "self" they are called autoantibodies. Women may form antibodies to antigens in fetal blood during pregnancy or may form antibodies to sperm.
