For years i keep getting a sharp pain in the left side of my head. any ideas on what could be the problem?

Head pain: Without more history and an examination it is impossible to diagnose you. What makes the pain better? Worse? How often? Always the same spot? I would suggest making an appointment with a neurologist or headache specialist.
