Detected hcg in blood and in urine... do i need to wait till the scan to conform whether i am pregnant or not?

No: You are pregnant, the scan will see a heartbeat at about 6 weeks confirming viability. There is an over 85% chance your pregnancy is fine; after heart tones on ultrasound less than 2% miscarriage risk, good luck, take some Folic Acid or a prenatal vitamin.

No: The blood and urine tests are actually more sensitive than the ultrasound. They can detect a pregnancy before the ultrasound can. The ultrasound is helpful to make sure the pregnancy is progressing normally if there are any concerns.
