No: Tendinitis is the descriptive term for inflammation of a tendon. Tendons serve as the means for attaching a muscle to a bone. Tendinitis is typically the result of overuse resulting in soft tissue inflammation that a patient will feel as pain. It can occur throughout the body, typically around a joint (shoulder, hip, knee for example). Usually treated with nsaid's and physical therapy.
