And you still drink?: Alcohol can damage the gastrointestinal tract from the mouth to the beginning of the small intestine, and also damage the pancreas, which can cause diarrhea. If you are having pain from drinking and yet still drink, you have an alcohol problem. See your doctor about the GI symptoms, and talk as well about getting help to stop drinking. Aa as well as other forms of counseling can be very helpful.
