Acne scars: Dermatologists have a number of modalities for treating scars such as those from acne: chemical peels, laser therapy, collagen fillers. Choose a dermatologist with much experience as treatments may be expensive & you want the best results for your money. Chemical peel is probably the least expensive treatment.

Dermatologist: It's impossible to remove a scar, but dermatologists have several ways of making them less prominent, the simplest probably being the chemical peel. First, though, ask yourself whether this is what you actually want. Some well-known hollywood stars have kept their acne scars to look tougher / give character / look like others who've survived their teens and done well. It's entirely your choice.

Vibradermabrasion: Microdermabrasion (using small particles to 'sand' the top layers of the skin) or vibradermabrasion (using a high frequency device to remove the epidermis) are two relatively inexpensive and painless ways to lighten the depth of very superficial defects. These methods will not remove deep scars.
