Many possibilities.: Based on the limited information there are many possibilities. Duration of enlargement andis important. If it is tender and you have had it for a week or two it could be as simple as acute lymphadenitis or reactive lymphadenitis due to infection or inflammation.It could be more concerning if you have had it for longer and is not tender and is growing rapidly. I recommend you consult a doctor asap.

Sign of inflammation: This could be a cervical lymph node ( enlarged). Would recommend a physical examination by your doctor to rule out acute infections such as dental infections, mononucleosis. Very rarely this could be a sign of TB especially if you were born and brought up in a TB endemic region such as south asia etc.
