Sinus infections: A humidifier can help but i actually recommend that people use a sinus irrigation kit. A popular variety is the neti pot by neilmed.

Neither: Sinus infections if chronic are frequently the result of underlying fungus infections in the sinuses, weakening the immune system and allowing for the secondary growth of bacteria. A great remedy is nasal irrigation with a saline (salt water) solution. Salt is antifungal, antibacterial and antiviral.

Either: However if you really have a sinus infection, you should be on antibiotics. If it's just congestion wither would do but i would also use nasal saline to thin out the mucous.
