Not Risky: C-section risk is mainly increased by any co-morbidities a patient may have (htn, diabetes, pulmonary dz, etc). Having a 2nd c-section is common and unless you have an accreta, it's no additional risk. Regional (epidural/spinal) vs gen anesthesia is a different question. Both can be done. We prefer a regional since it's overall safer for both but we can do them under general if needed. Take care.

C-section: Risks of anesthesia for c-sections are very low no matter which method you undergo. Typically regional (either spinal or epidural) is preferred for a number of reasons but general anesthesia is done and is safe. My discussion with you would focus on your particular patient characteristics, prior history and any mitigating circumstances around your history, your pregnancy and your ob's opinion.
