Virus: The rash could be due to the reason you took the antibiotic. If you had a virus the rash cold be due to the infection itself and not the medicine you took for the underlying disease. A drug induced rash should begin to clear after 4 days but if it were severe to begin with then 4 days may not be enough. It also depends on if you were taking the med in question while the rash was ongoing.
