How does it look?: Swollen, red, hot? History of injury? Did it start all of a sudden or chronic? Any other medical history?

Wrist pain: When turning can mean tendonitis, arthritis, synovitis or just skin irritation, certainly with trauma history, ligament sprain or fracture too. But tendonitis such as dequervains tensynovits often gives pain with twisting and deviating, without more information this is just a general answer, typical initial treatments include ice, nsaids and splinting, if symptoms do not abate seek medical attent.
