A member asked:

What is uterine cavity ?and what role does it play in myomectomy surgery ?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Space inside uterus: The intrauterine cavity is the space where teh lining of the womb(endometrium) is located. If a fibroid is removed that protrudes into that space, care must be taken to repair the uterus to maintain its' integrity in the event of future labor and child birth so that the uterus doesn't rupture.
