Pinched nerve: Mittelschmerz is pain in the ovary during ovulation (halfway between two periods) and is not something to be worried about. However, the fact that you have pain while lifting suggests you may have a pinched nerve in your back and the pain is being experienced in the area of the ovary. See your doctor.
