CBT!: Picking and plucking are not uncommon stress/anxiety responses but definitely become concerning if it impacts your day (or results in significant hair loss or skin injury/scarring). A psychologist, especially one trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) can help you reduce the compulsive parts of the behavior and help you find alternative ways to cope with your stress.
