A member asked:

What is the definition or description of: late menstrual period?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

More than 35 days: Most people have a regular menstrual cycle and will start a new period within a month of the last one. If you are expecting your period but it has been more than a week, you would be considered to have a late menstrual period.
