A member asked:

Does laser treatment work for toe nail fungus?

10 doctors weighed in across 5 answers

Laser fungal nails: School is still out on the effectiveness of this treatment. There is simply no evidence based data proving its efficacy in the treatment of fungal nails.Furthermore, a lot of the practitioners using laser prescribe oral anti fungal medication as part of the treatment regimen. Therefore, it can be difficult to determine whether it is the laser or the medication at work

Keep in mind...: The laser treatment for toenail fungus is not covered by insurance plans, so be prepared to pay for this out-of-pocket!

Yes: Toe laser treatment does work, but not 100%. You may require several treatments.

Yes...: Laser treatment does work. It can be very effective but it is important to keep in mind that as much as it is the focus to get rid of the fungus under the nail, it is equally important to prevent re-infection.

Laser: Yes . My success rate is 80-85% . No oral meds are used , but a topical is used to prevent recurrance while the nail grows out.
