See a podiatrist: To what extent you need to be concerned about your feet depends on the level of control of your diabetes and the degree of any diabetes-related issues that affect the feet, like neuropathy or vascular disease. At the minimum, before you start out on your own, have a podiatrist evaluate your feet. He or she will make recommendations and you might be pleasantly reassured.

Do tens machines: Help what? You haven't listed a foot problem other than the fact you are diabetic. You need to be cautious with soaking with a diabetic as the fear is you can burn yourself if inability to stand is the. Special shoes are not necessary if your feet are normal in appearance. Many podiatrist have "diabetic shoes" which are extra depth inlay to avoid anatomical regions rubbing the shoe from friction.

Protect the feet.: Shoes will help reduce the risk of stepping on something that may penetrate through the bottom of the foot. Diabetics do not need to wear them "all the time". Inside the home comfortable slippers or sandals are fine.
