I have just stopped my aunts 5mg dose of aricept (donepezil) after 3 weeks of being on this drug. how long can i expect to see residual effects?

A few days: Aricept has a half-life of about 96 hrs, so it may take 5-7 days to get out of the system. However, do not give up in future as their are other meds that do help memory, and you can get a better outcome. Consider, the Exelon (rivastigmine) patch, minimal if any adverse events.
