Depo is long acting: It may be 6-8 months before your normal cycle returns. This is common and normal with use of this long acting contraceptive method. The key is to be patient and not to worry until 8 months. Please use alternate birth control or you may find yourself pregnant if you are sexually active. The birth control effect is only trustworthy for 3 months.
