I am having a barium enema done and they told me to use a water enema. i have saline. is this ok to use?

Saline is good...: Not too many people stock saline at home, but if you have it at home, it is ok to use with your enema. Saline is basically water +salt+chloride in concentration slightly higher than your plasma (blood fluid without the red/white cells). It is probably a safer enema to use then water, but the difference is likely not significant. Good luck with your procedure.
