Perhaps generous: The general amount of fluid (formula) intake that is expected for a baby is about 1 1/2 - 2 1/2 oz per pound of body weight per day. Note how much you use in a full 24 hour period and talk to your doctor about best feeding routine when you next have a check-up. Notice whether the child has any spitting up or tummy pain at the times when he/she is drinking more.
