Sorry no: COPD by definition is irreversible. But by quitting smoking, you, can certainly reduce the progression and your long term prognosis. Never too late to quit!

No...: Unfortunately, there is no cure for copd. But, smoking cessation leads to decreased airway inflammation which will decrease symptoms and may slow disease progression as well as decrease your risk for certain types of cancer. So, smoking cessation is a crucial part of therapy even though it does not cure the disease.
