Is my own birth size an indicator of my baby's birth size?

Yes: Your size at birth is related to how big your baby is. It isn't the only factor, however. Your partner's size at birth also is a big factor. Medical conditions like diabetes, high blood pressure or chronic disease can also affect it. How you eat can also be a factor. Eating a healthy, moderate diet while pregnant is always important.

Not really: The baby is a genetic complement of you and your partner. Diets and nutrition continue to improve. All of this makes it difficult to predict birth size.
