Is birth length an indicator of height in the future?

No: Not necessarily, birth lengths aren't very accurate due to newborns being wiggly! as your baby gets older, your doctor will track their growth and the graphs will give you a better estimate of how tall he'll be.

No: Birth lengths are difficult to measure. However there are a couple rules of thumb about length/height. Your baby will likely add about 50% of their birth length to their height by age one, will double by age 4 and triple by age 13. To figure out an estimate of your child's adult height use this formula. Dad ht (inches)+mom ht (inches) - 5 (for girls) or + 5 (for boys) divided by 2.
