Variable: Any other issues? The procedure is open heart, on bypass pump the damaged valve is removed if leaking usually and replaced. Probably a biologic=t issue valve. If it is steno tic= narrowed, some may be repaired= split/ opened. Recovery in hospital a week and home recovery 6-8 weeks in general depending on other risk factors.
