Does the heat affect your appetite?

Possibly: Heat can affect your appetite in several ways. If you're working in the heat and staying hydrated and otherwise healthy, you'll be burning more calories and so need to eat more. If you are experiencing a loss of appetite while working in the heat, then you could be suffering from a heat-related illness such as heat exhaustion. Make sure you're drinking enough water and taking regular breaks.

It can: Usually lowers appetite if it is extreme, but only in some people. For others, the increased metabolism that results from heat extremes stimulates appetite. These effects, in either direction, are generally pretty mild and generally don't cause weight gain or loss. More significant is not taking in enough water and getting dehydration, hyperthermia, heat stroke and heat exhaustion.
