Quitting smoking: Otc methods for quitting smoking include cold turkey, hypnosis, placing your daily allotment of cigarettes into a plastic bag and cutting down by just one a day, nicotine patches, nicotine gum, and electronic cigarettes. Good luck!

None I know of: There are many over the counter things you can do, none of which would be considered "home remedies." nicotine replacement therapy using the gum or lozenges (they are better tolerated) is first step. The nicotine patches may be smoother and more comfortable for some people. Hypnosis and acupuncture may help initially. Prescription meds (bupropion and chantix) are also available. Programs help!
