Throat damage: Healthy acidic or spicy foods do not damage your throat or usually affect your throat adversely. Sometimes a person has a sensitivity or allergy to a certaiq food or spice and that can cause a problem in that specific individual.

No: You shouldn't damage your throat by eating spicy food. But you may worsen reflux which can cause acid to get in your throat which could, over time, cause inflammation.
