Depends: Like anything else the risk of taking a medicine has to be weighed against the benefits . The higher the risk profile the more they will benefit . Ibuprofen has side effects like any other drug . Ulcers kidney problems bleeding can occur . Talk to your doctor before taking a daily nsaids.

Depends: For short term use its fine. On a more chronic basis no. It should also be used at the lowest effective dose and for the shortest amount of time thats effective. Alternate with tylenol (acetaminophen) or tramadol if chronic pain relief is needed.
