Olecronon Bursitis: There is a large bursa over the elbow that normally is flat. It can become swollen from injury or infection. Sometimes just leaning on the elbow will cause some inflammation, usally goes away with heat and ibuprofen. If his elbow is real painful and it hurts to move his elbow, I am very concerned about a possible infection. This often needs to be drained. See your doctor.
