Socket Soreness: Goldenseal has anti-bacterial properties and cat's claw has anti-inflammatory and anti-bacterial properties so in theory they could help. You must use a tincture of each in liquid form soaked on a gauze pad and then clench this between the jaws over the affected areas. Avoid swallowing if possible, since the action you seek is local, not systemic. Ideally, avoid a dry socket in the first place.

Herbal remedy: A better herbal remedy for dry socket is oil of clove. This is where eugenol is derived which is used routinely as a dry socket treatment.

Unlikely: No evidence will help. Best advice is to have wisdom teeth removed by board certified oral surgeon. If dry socket develops, easily treated.
