Yes: Virus can cause muscle damage and a weak heart muscle called a cardiomyopathy. May be temporary or permanent. Viral titers in the right clinical setting would help support the diagnosis but not neccesary. Usually a clinical DX or a DX of exclusion.

Yes: Viruses can rarely cause cardiomyopathies but don't cause coronary artery disease.
