Kidney chi deficienc: Could be related to multiple energetic imbalances, but if it is associated with other symptoms like tired during the day, feeling of cold, cold extremities, night sweats , ... It may be related to kidney chi deficiency.

Body Rhythms in TCM: From a Traditional Chinese Medicine perspective, waking up between 1 to 3 AM with difficulty falling back to sleep may be a symptoms of an overloaded liver. Lack of balance in this area may be associated with irritability, anger, digestive problems & increased blood pressure. From a psychiatric point of view, this pattern can be seen with clinical depression.
