Resp. infection: The seriousness of the symptoms will be related to how long they have been going on, and how high your fever is. It may be a simple URI (upper respiratory infection), bronchitis, or possibly pneumonia. If you are running fever over 100 for a few days you should see your doctor.

Chest congestion: It might be simple respiratory infection, or even pneumonia. If the symptoms are of long duration, you probably have to check for tuberculosis also. Your doctor would know what to do.
