Nerve diseases: A fall that tears your rotator cuff can hurt your neck and specifically some of the nerves to your shoulder. Shoulder pain is often cased by nerve problems aas the real cause.

Pinched Nerve: You may be referred to a neurologist for a special test called an emg. Learn more here: http://theshouldercenter.Com/suprascapular-nerve.Htm and http://theshouldercenter.Com/rotator-cuff-tear.Htm.

Nerve injury: The brachial plexus and nerves to shoulder muscles are all nearby, and your doctor may have noted scapular winging, deltoid or supraspinatus weakness, or perhaps a pattern of numbness. You may have also caused a brachial plexus stretch injury or even a thoracic outlet syndrome. If EMG testing is needed, make certain that your doctor have experience with brachial plexus techniques.
