A benefit: A social worker can help you connect with nurses, physical and occupational therapists, and other social helpers like meals on wheels. For end of life issues hospice may need to get involved.

They are resourceful: Social workers may know about the resources available in the community. If you don't have coverage of some services (by insurance ) may be there is a non for profit organization that may help or help to apply with the government for social benefits.
